Peter Olin
Peter was born in Sweden, where he lived until 2014. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Uppsala University and has over twenty-five years experience in software development working as an IT Consultant, Systems Analyst and Designer, Test Developer, and Software Architect. His engagement with Buddhism started in 1990 in Sweden, and since 1997 he has mainly studied and practiced under the guidance of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, and the other sons of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, and Erik Pema Kunsang.
Peter recently spent nine years studying at Rangjung Yeshe Institute’s BA-program, MA-program and Translator Training Program, and in the monks’ shedra of Ka-Nying Monastery. Peter has translated some Buddhist texts from English and Tibetan to Swedish and aspires to help establish Dharma vocabulary and contribute to the translation of key Buddhist literature into Swedish
Peter has recently relocated to Ludvika in Sweden where he is staying close to aging relatives in need. In his spare time he likes to swing kettlebells and unsuccessfully engage in Swedish death cleaning.
