Andre Rodrigues
Andre first trained and worked as an architect in Lisbon, where he grew up, and then in Venice and London. The skills involved in an architect’s training, such as creative problem-solving and learning to structure ideas, have all proved useful in his subsequent Dharma-related work.
In his mid-twenties, Andre started to devote himself solely to Buddhist studies and practice, and in 2012 he completed a three-year retreat in Chanteloube. With the encouragement of his teachers, he studied (and continues to study) Tibetan, and is currently translating Dharma texts from Tibetan to Portuguese. He is the coordinator of the Portuguese language branch of the Padmakara Translation Group.
Andre started working part-time for 84000 in 2017 as mark-up editor and ensuring that the online glossaries are displayed accurately. He feels privileged to be part of 84000’s incredible endeavor and to have the chance to read and learn from these precious texts.
